EVENT NAME:

IUMC'25 - NMIMS Indore Inter-University Mediation Competition

FORMAT:

The event shall be conducted in a Hybrid Mode, i.e. the Preliminary Round shall be conducted online, and Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Final rounds shall be conducted in the offline mode.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Only Law Colleges/Universities recognized by the Bar Council ofIndia are eligible to participate.
  • Each University may nominate up to 2 teams to participate in the competition.
  • Only bonafide students pursuing 3-year/5-year LLB degree programs during the current academic year are eligible to participate.
  • No Cross University teams shall be eligible to participate in this competition.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

  • Each team must consist of three members:

    • Mediator: One team member will assume the role of the mediator.
    • Negotiating team: Two team members will consist of client and counsel

    The roles of participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the competition.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Registration Opens – 10th February 2025
  • Last Date for Registration – 15th March 2025
  • Release of Mediation Problem – 16th March 2025
  • Draw of Lots – 26th March 2025
  • Preliminary Rounds (Online) – 28th March 2025
  • Results of Preliminary Rounds – 31st March 2025
  • Travel Form Submission for Qualifying Teams – 6th April 2025
  • Release of Problem for Quarter-Final, Semi-Final & Final Rounds – 7th April 2025
  • Quarter-Finals & Semi-Finals (Offline at NMIMS Indore) – 12th April 2025
  • Final Round & Valedictory Ceremony (Offline at NMIMS Indore) – 13th April 2025

    • REGISTRATION FEES:

    Preliminary Rounds (Online Mode): ₹3,000 per team

    Qualifying Rounds (Offline Mode): ₹3,000 per mediating pair, ₹1,500 per mediator (includes accommodation & food)

    APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

    Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 14th March 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
