The ADR Advocacy Competition (TAAC) – 2025

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

TAAC 2025 comprises a total of seven competitive rounds held between August 3, 2025, and October 31, 2025, followed by two concluding stages: Advanced Rounds and the Final Rounds. The competitive rounds include: Deal Negotiation & Agreement Drafting, Client Counselling, Mediation & Negotiation, Notice & Response for Arbitration, Appointment & Challenge, Arbitral Award Writing, and Enforcement & Challenge.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Students who wish to apply must be enrolled in a recognized law program, either as full-time or part-time students, during the academic year 2025–2026 at the time of registration. This includes both undergraduate and postgraduate law students from any recognized university. Students who are expected to graduate in 2025 are also eligible, provided they are still officially recognized as students by their university at the time of registration. Each institution may send up to four teams, and teams may also be formed by students from different institutions.

TEAM COMPOSITION:
Each team shall comprise a minimum of three and a maximum of five members, all of whom must be enrolled in the same institution. Every team is required to nominate a mentor and may, at their discretion, appoint a private coach for specific stages or for the entire duration of the competition. Each institution is permitted to register up to four teams.

  • Mediation & Negotiation Rounds: 30 August 2025
  • Workshop on Arbitration Advocacy: 31 August 2025
  • Notice of Arbitration: 6 September 2025
  • Response to Notice of Arbitration: 7 September 2025
  • Release of Procedural Order No. 1: 13 September 2025
  • Submission of Rejoinders: 20 September 2025
  • Appointment of Arbitrators: 27 September 2025
  • Release of Procedural Order No. 2: 4 October 2025
  • Workshop on Arbitral Award Writing: 5 October 2025
  • Advanced Rounds: 11 October 2025
  • Final Rounds (In-person, New Delhi): 30–31 October 2025

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  2nd August 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

We are pleased to announce that the 4th NALSAR National Mediation Competition 2025  will be held in person from   24 January – 26 January 2025 EVENT NAME: 4th NALSAR National Mediation Tournament 2025 FORMAT: The Competition comprises of three Preliminary Rounds, Semi-finals and  the Final Round.  Each team must comprise of 3 members - one Mediator,  one Client and one Counsel. The roles of the participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the Competition. Each Round shall comprise of a Client-Counsel pair from each Side and 2 Mediators. What makes the NMT unique is that there will only be one single Problem  with evolving and increasingly complex Confidential Information (CI') given as the Rounds advance.
