Mediation Championship India (MCI) 2025 – The Ultimate Test!

The competition will be structured as:

The competition will be structured in multiple stages, beginning with strategy drafting for negotiators and convening calls for mediators (October 1–9), followed by email negotiations for negotiators and a pre-mediation test for mediators (October 10–16). Selected participants will then move to two online mediation sessions via Zoom on November 1, before progressing to the offline mediation sessions in Delhi-NCR on November 8–9, which will serve as the final stages of the championship. This format ensures a comprehensive evaluation of participants’ skills through both virtual and in-person platforms.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The Mediation Championship India 2025 is open exclusively to Indian students from law or business backgrounds who have previously achieved distinction in the field by finishing as a winner, finalist, or semi-finalist in a recognised mediation or negotiation competition, either in India or abroad. This ensures that the participants represent the highest level of skill and experience in the discipline.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

The competition will feature two categories of participants: Negotiators and Mediators. Each negotiating team will consist of a Client and Counsel pair, working together to represent their party’s interests, draft strategies, and engage in negotiation and mediation sessions. The Mediators will participate individually, being assessed on their ability to facilitate discussions, maintain neutrality, and guide parties toward resolution. This structure allows for a balanced evaluation of both advocacy and mediation skills.

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • Stage 1 (Strategy Drafting for Negotiators & Convening Call for Mediators): 1st – 9th October 2025

  • Stage 2 (Email Negotiations & Pre-Mediation Test): 10th – 16th October 2025

  • Stage 3 (Online Mediation Sessions I & II via Zoom): 1st November 2025

  • Stage 4 (Offline Mediation Session I – Delhi NCR): 8th November 2025

  • Stage 5 (Offline Mediation Session II – Delhi NCR): 8th November 2025

  • Stage 6 (Offline Mediation Session III – Delhi NCR): 9th November 2025

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  6th September 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

We are pleased to announce that the 4th NALSAR National Mediation Competition 2025  will be held in person from   24 January – 26 January 2025 EVENT NAME: 4th NALSAR National Mediation Tournament 2025 FORMAT: The Competition comprises of three Preliminary Rounds, Semi-finals and  the Final Round.  Each team must comprise of 3 members - one Mediator,  one Client and one Counsel. The roles of the participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the Competition. Each Round shall comprise of a Client-Counsel pair from each Side and 2 Mediators. What makes the NMT unique is that there will only be one single Problem  with evolving and increasingly complex Confidential Information (CI') given as the Rounds advance.
