Call for Application: 2nd edition of the NUJS Mediation Competition, 2020

Greetings!
The Alternate Dispute Resolution Society of the National University of Juridical Sciences is pleased to announce that the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata, in association with ADR-ODR International, London will be organising the 2nd edition of the NUJS Mediation Competition, 2020.  The eight-day event will include:
  1. The Mediation Competition: 27th February – 1st March, 2020.
  2. ADR-ODR International, London Mediation Accreditation Course: 2nd –5th March, 2020.
The Venue: National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata.

About the Mediation Competition
The Competition shall involve three preliminary rounds followed by semi-finals and finals. Each member of the team shall play the role of client, counsel and mediator at least once over the course of the three preliminary rounds.

Registrations-
For the mediation Competition-  There are two steps to the registration process, the application and the selection. The application has to be made via a form. After the deadline of the last date for application, the 30 selected teams will be requested to complete the registration process to confirm their slot.
Registration fees per participant is set at INR 4,900 (inclusive of accommodation) for 3 days (27th February – 29th February), welcome kits and merchandise. Each team is permitted one coach during the course of the competition. Teams wishing to bring their coach will be charged an additional of INR 2,100 for accommodation.

For the ADR-ODR Mediation Accreditation Training Course- It is open to all. Accommodation for the duration of the Course is available at cost of INR 2,400. Registration for the course can be made via filling a form.
Fee for registration for the accreditation course is Rs. 25,000/-

Allotment of Mediation Competetion-  
Allotments for the mediation competition shall be made solely on the basis of the 'Average Internal Mediation Rank' of 4th UPES Internal Mediation Competition, 2019.
