EVENT NAME:

IIMAC COLOMBO 2025

FORMAT:

There are three categories of teams in the Competition:

Negotiator Teams: the teams will engage in simulated mediation and negotiation

sessions and act as counsel and client for the investor party or the State party.


Mediator Teams: the teams will engage in simulated mediation and negotiation

sessions and act as mediators who will facilitate the dialogue between the parties.


Arbitration Teams: the teams will engage in simulated arbitral proceedings and act

as counsel representing the investor party or the State party.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Students who wish to apply must be registered in their respective institution as fulltime or part-time students in the academic year of 2025/2026 at the time of registration. This includes undergraduate and postgraduate students, provided that they are registered in the said academic year. Students who graduate in 2025 will be allowed to register, provided they are recognized as students by their university at the time of the registrations.


IMPORTANT DATE:

  • The Competition will be held in-person, in Colombo, Sri Lanka and all participants will be informed in advance of the venue(s) of the Competition. The Competition will take place from the 18th - 22nd August 2025.

    • REGISTRATION FEES:

    Negotiator Teams (International Participants):

    Two Students: USD 350

    Third Student Additional: USD 150

    Fourth Student Additional: USD 100

    First Coach: Free

    Each Additional Coach Additional: USD 150


    Arbitration Teams (International Participants):

    Two-Four Students: USD 350

    Each Additional Student(s): Additional USD 100

    First Coach: Free

    Each Additional Coach Additional: USD 150

    APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

    Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 18th May 2025. In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
