Mediation Competition 5.0

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

This competition is hybrid: some rounds will be held online and others offline. It will span two separate date intervals — 29th–30th September and 14th–15th October. Through these dates, participants will undergo mediation rounds where realistic dispute scenarios will be given, with required engagement in both virtual and physical mediation settings. The format allows participants to demonstrate skills in negotiation, communication, empathy, and resolution across different modes.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The competition is open to all bonafide students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate courses from 3-year or 5-year law programmes or other related programs, with each institution allowed to send a maximum of three teams.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team shall comprise three members: one Mediator, one Counsel, and one Client. The role of the Mediator will remain fixed throughout the competition, while the roles of Client and Counsel may be interchanged between rounds but not within the same round. In every mediation session, two mediators from different teams will be paired and identified as Mediator 1 (M1) and Mediator 2 (M2).

  • Release of Mediation Proposition: 22nd September 2025

  • Last Date for Seeking Clarifications: 24th September 2025

  • Release of Clarifications: 25th September 2025

  • Inaugural Ceremony: 29th September 2025

  • Preliminary Rounds: 29th–30th September 2025

  • Quarter-Final Round: 14th October 2025

  • Semi-Final Round: 15th October 2025

  • Final Round: 15th October 2025

  • Valedictory Ceremony: 15th October 2025



Registration Fees
  • ₹4,500 per team for Indian Students
  • ₹6,000 per team for Foreign Students
  • ₹2.000 per person Accomodation

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  18th September 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

EVENT NAME: Mediation Bombay 6.0 – International Dispute Resolution Competition (2025-26) FORMAT: The competition will be structured as : The competition will be held in a hybrid format , with Preliminary Rounds online from 9th–12th October 2025 and advanced rounds offline at MNLU Mumbai on 7th–8th March 2026 . Teams will first compete in four prelims, after which the top 16 advance to the Octa-Finals, 12 to the Quarter-Finals, and 6 to the Semi-Finals (which also serve as the final round for mediators).
