Mediation Bombay 6.0 – International Dispute Resolution Competition (2025-26)

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition will be held in a hybrid format, with Preliminary Rounds online from 9th–12th October 2025 and advanced rounds offline at MNLU Mumbai on 7th–8th March 2026. Teams will first compete in four prelims, after which the top 16 advance to the Octa-Finals, 12 to the Quarter-Finals, and 6 to the Semi-Finals (which also serve as the final round for mediators). The event will conclude with the Finals, where the top 3 negotiating teams will compete in an extended session including mediation, reflection, and feedback.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Participation is open to law students from recognized universities across the world. Students currently pursuing a degree in law, as well as those who graduated within the last six months before the competition date, are eligible. Certified mediators or individuals with professional mediation experience may only participate if invited. Participants cannot re-enter the same segment they have already competed in a previous edition.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each university may register up to one Client-Attorney Pair (two members) and one Mediator (one member) as a team. The Client-Attorney Pair will rotate roles of client and counsel in the preliminaries, while the Mediator’s role remains unchanged. Both segments are independent, and the performance of one does not affect the other.

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • Final Registration & Fee Submission: 10th September 2025

  • Preliminary Rounds (Online): 9th–12th October 2025

  • Advanced Rounds (On-Campus, Mumbai) : 7th–8th March 2026


    REGISTRATION FEES:

  • Preliminary Rounds (Online):
  • ₹7,500 for national teams

  • USD 90 for international teams

Advanced Rounds (Offline, Mumbai):

  • With mentor: ₹17,500 (national) / USD 210 (international)

  • Without mentor: ₹14,500 (national) / USD 173 (international)

The fee includes access to competition events, training, ceremonies, networking sessions, as well as accommodation and food during the offline rounds.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  25th August 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
