International Negotiation and Mediation Competition – 3rd Edition (2025)

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The International Negotiation and Mediation Competition (INMC) 2025 will follow a hybrid structure with the Preliminary Rounds conducted online and the Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, and Final Rounds held offline. The competition is divided into two segments namely Mediation and Negotiation. In the Mediation segment, each team comprises a Mediator, Client, and Counsel whereas in the Negotiation segment, each team consists of a Client and Counsel. Teams will progress through multiple elimination rounds beginning with virtual sessions and culminating in the offline final rounds hosted in Mumbai.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Participation is open to bonafide law students currently pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. program during the academic year 2024–2025. The applicant's institution must be recognized by the Bar Council of India if located in India. There is no such restriction for international institutions. Only registered students from eligible institutions are allowed to participate, and no interchange of roles (Client, Counsel, Mediator) is permitted after registration.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team must consist of two or three members, depending on the segment they are participating in. For the Mediation segment, the team shall include one mediator, one client, and one counsel. For the Negotiation segment, the team shall include one client and one counsel. Once roles are designated at the time of registration, no changes in roles will be permitted thereafter.

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • Closing of Final Registration : 12th August 2025
  • Inaugral Ceremony and Preliminary Rounds: 24th August 2025
  • Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, Final Rounds, and Valedictory Ceremony: 4th and 5th October 2025
  • General Information for Advanced Rounds will be released on 15th September 2025

REGISTRATION FEES:

National Universities: ₹2,950 per team

International Universities: $75 USD per team

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  6th August 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

We are pleased to announce that the 4th NALSAR National Mediation Competition 2025  will be held in person from   24 January – 26 January 2025 EVENT NAME: 4th NALSAR National Mediation Tournament 2025 FORMAT: The Competition comprises of three Preliminary Rounds, Semi-finals and  the Final Round.  Each team must comprise of 3 members - one Mediator,  one Client and one Counsel. The roles of the participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the Competition. Each Round shall comprise of a Client-Counsel pair from each Side and 2 Mediators. What makes the NMT unique is that there will only be one single Problem  with evolving and increasingly complex Confidential Information (CI') given as the Rounds advance.
