National Mediation Competition 2025 (NMC 2025)
EVENT NAME:
National Mediation Competition 2025 (NMC 2025)
FORMAT:
The competition will be structured as:
The Preliminary Rounds (I & II) will require each team to participate twice—once as the Requesting Party and once as the Responding Party. Evaluations during these rounds will be conducted separately for the Mediator and the Negotiating Pair (Client-Counsel) to ensure an objective assessment of individual roles. Following the preliminaries, the top 8 Mediators and the top 8 Negotiating Pairs, based on their cumulative scores, will advance to the Quarter-Finals. From there, the top 4 Mediators and top 4 Negotiating Pairs will qualify for the Semi-Finals, and ultimately, the top 2 Mediators and top 2 Negotiating Pairs will proceed to the Final Round. Each round of the competition will be based on a specific theme to test participants' versatility and depth of understanding: Contractual Laws in the Preliminary Rounds, Matrimonial Laws in the Quarter-Finals, Property Laws in the Semi-Finals, and Energy Laws in the Final Round.
The competition is open to all students who are enrolled on a regular basis in an undergraduate or postgraduate law course (or its equivalent) at any recognized college, institution, or university.
