Lex Infinitum 2026 – 11th Edition of the International Dispute Resolution Competition

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition consists of Preliminary Rounds, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and a Final Round. All teams participate in two preliminary rounds, acting once as Requesting Party and once as Responding Party. The top 8 Negotiating Teams and top 4 Mediators advance to the Quarter-Finals. Winners proceed to the Semi-Finals, which serve as the final round for mediators, and the top 2 Negotiating Teams then face off in the Final Round, mediated by a professional mediator. Each session includes Confidential Information (CI) preparation, Main Round negotiation/mediation, scoring, and feedback

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The competition is open to all full-time or part-time undergraduate students from any stream worldwide for the academic year 2025–26. However, in each Negotiating Team, the Counsel must be a law student. Each institution may send either one Negotiating Team, one Mediator, or both. If a university sends teams, members can be from different affiliated colleges, but if an individual college sends a team, all members must be from the same college

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team in the competition will consist of a Negotiating Team made up of two participants, one acting as the Counsel and the other as the Client, along with a separate participant designated as the Mediator. The roles of Client, Counsel, and Mediator will remain fixed throughout the competition and cannot be interchanged. In addition, teams have the option to register one coach, who may be a professor, lawyer, or ADR professional, by paying an additional fee.

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • Last Date for Applications: 1st November 2025

  • Declaration of Selected Teams: 15th November 2025

  • Deadline for Final Registration & Fee Payment: 24th November 2025
  • Deadline for Confirmation of Participation (Round 2): 30th November 2025

  • Competition Dates (On-Campus in Goa): 22nd – 24th January 2026

Registration Fees:
  • National Teams (India): ₹15,000 per team

  • International Teams: USD 250 per team

  • Additional Coach Fee: ₹5,000 (for Indian teams) / USD 75 (for international teams)

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  15th October 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
