California Arbitration’s 2023 Writing Competition and Award – “Innovation in International Arbitration”

  CalArb’s International Arbitration & ADR Writing Competition Committee is pleased to invite submissions for its first writing competition and award. This competition seeks to provide an opportunity to law students and young practitioners to research and address important issues, and to recognize and reward the most exceptional written contribution. See below for additional details: Eligible Participants:  CalArb’s writing competition is open to all law students and to all lawyers who have practiced for less than 10 years. Topic:  Submissions should address the theme of this year’s California International Arbitration Week, “Innovation in International Arbitration.” Guidelines:  Submissions must be the participant’s original work, written in English, and must be between 15-20 pages, including footnotes, with standard margins, minimum 12 point font, and 1.5 line spacing.   OVERVIEW OF THE COMPETITION Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC) has its objective to promote, develop, and disseminate knowledge in alternative dispute resolution mechanism, including mediation. To ensure that the THAC dispute resolution services are widely recognized, the THAC has deemed it necessary to organize the International Mediation Competition. This competition aims to enhance understanding and knowledge of the mediation process, in accordance with the THAC's rules and regulations on mediation. The Competition is scheduled to take place between July 19th and 21st, 2023, at Bhiraj Tower, the 26th floor and will be the International Mediation Competition for the year 2023. About Gurusiddappa Kotambri Law College The Gurusiddappa Kotambri Law College was established in the year 1974 to cater especially to the needs of the people of this region who were very keen on enhancing their legal awareness. The establishment of the law college was made possible due to the donation of philanthropist Dr T. M. Kousali, and the college was named after his father Gurusiddappa Kotambri. About the Competition The national negotiation competition would be an excellent opportunity for all law students nationwide. The competition will be held for two days. It is a unique initiative and one of the best avenues worldwide where students can experience a medley of dispute-resolution activities simultaneously. Eligibility Students pursuing 3 years or 5 years law program from a University or Institute recognised by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi are eligible to apply. Only one team from each college/institute can participate in the event. Each team shall consist of 2 particip
