4th UPES Internal Negotiation Competition'23

  Greetings from the ADR Association! The Alternate Dispute Resolution Association (ADR) of School of Law, UPES, Dehradun is pleased to announce the 4th edition of the UPES Internal Negotiation Competition 2023 . This competition is not only an examination of several talents but also gives you the chance to showcase your potential for problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiating skills.  The Criteria for the same is listed below-: 1. Eligibility Criteria:  • The competition is open to all the Law students from 1st year onwards. 2. Team Composition:  • Each Team shall comprise of 2 students- One client, and One counsel. The roles of the students shall remain the same throughout the rounds.  3. Format:  • A total of 84 teams can participate on a " first-come-first-serve " basis, out of which 24 spots will be exclusively reserved for 1st year students. • The Competition will be conducted in an offline mode , except for the preliminary round. 4.   About the Competition 3rd LI National Mediation Competition 2023 is an online competition organized by LawInternships (The Online Law School). We had it’s 1st and 2nd chapter in the year 2020 and 2022 respectively with the vision to promote process of mediation to the young minds. With mediation gaining traction as an effective and efficient means of alternative dispute resolution, with the same inspiration LawInternships (The Online Law School) continuing the third chapter of National Mediation Competition. This competition will be conducted virtually allowing the students to hone their advocacy skills with respect to mediation. 5th NUJS Mediation Competition 2023

  About the Competition NUJS is among the most prestigious law schools in India, and it started hosting the NUJS Mediation Competition in 2019. Since its advent, the competition has garnered participation from prestigious universities worldwide; students from different countries such as the United Kingdom, Singapore, Bangladesh, and various others participated in the event and made it a huge success.  In its short stint the ADR society has successfully organized 4 editions of NUJS Mediation competition which saw wide national and international participation. In 2022, the 4th NUJS Mediation Competition was a Qualifier for the prestigious Transatlantic Negotiation Competition, 2022. We anticipate responses from students who are enthusiastic about joining the committee and are willing to dedicate their time towards the committee.
