  Event Name ALSA International Mediation Competition (AIMC) 2026 FORMAT: The competition will be structured as : The competition will be conducted through two Preliminary Rounds followed by the Semi-Final and Final Rounds . Teams will participate in mediation sessions where they role-play as counsel and client to resolve disputes through negotiation and collaborative problem-solving. The preliminary rounds determine the highest-scoring teams, after which the semi-final and final rounds follow a knockout format . Each mediation session is time-bound and includes feedback from judges to enhance participants’ mediation skills. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA The competition is open to university students from ALSA National Chapters worldwide . Teams are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis , and participants are encouraged to register through their respective ALSA National Chapters. The Qualifying Stage consists of two Preliminary Rounds, where each mediating pair represents both the Requesting and Responding Party once.
