These competitions aim to provide participants with hands-on exposure to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms. The Mediation Competition focuses on facilitated dispute resolution with the involvement of a neutral mediator, whereas the Negotiation Competition emphasizes direct bargaining and strategic interaction between parties.   Event Name ALSA International Mediation Competition (AIMC) 2026 FORMAT: The competition will be structured as : The competition will be conducted through two Preliminary Rounds followed by the Semi-Final and Final Rounds . Teams will participate in mediation sessions where they role-play as counsel and client to resolve disputes through negotiation and collaborative problem-solving. The preliminary rounds determine the highest-scoring teams, after which the semi-final and final rounds follow a knockout format .   Event Name MediateGuru’s 6th Virtual International Mediation Competition (VIMC) 2026 | 10–12 April 2026  FORMAT: The competition will be structured as : The competition is structured in two stages — Qualifying Rounds and Advanced Rounds . The Qualifying Stage consists of two Preliminary Rounds, where each mediating pair represents both the Requesting and Responding Party once. Based on cumulative scores, the top teams advance to the Advanced Stage, which comprises the Semi-Final Round and the Final Round conducted on a knock-out basis. Each mediation session involves two mediators and two mediating pairs (client and counsel), and is conducted within a prescribed time limit.
