MAIMS’ Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) is organizing its 3rd Justice J.S. Verma Memorial ADRCC Competition and NAVITAS – MAIMS 3rd National Law Fest 2023.
About ADRCC Competition (23rd – 24th March & 1st April, 2023)
MAIMS 3rd Justice J.S. Verma Memorial ADRCC Competition seeks to encourage the effective use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and to promote an open exchange of ideas, experience and technical know-how between students and legal professionals which includes competitions namely- Mediation, Arbitration, Negotiation and Client Counselling Competition. This event is happening in collaboration with the family of Justice J.S. Verma, FSRI- Foundation for Sustainable Rule of Law Initiatives and Asian School of Cyber Laws.
Training Sessions to be conducted for the participants are as follows:
A workshop to be held prior to the competition by Ms. Jennifer L. Brandt, experienced Attorney, Arbitrator and Mediator for all the registered participants. She has served as a Judge and Mediator at ABA and ICC Commercial Mediation Competitions.
She has participated in international dispute-resolution efforts around the globe. The workshop will discuss on basics of Mediation, its relevance, and future careers in it. Details of the same will be emailed to registered participants.
A one-hour workshop to be held prior to the competition by Asian School of Cyber Laws for all the registered participants. Details of the same will be emailed to registered participants.

- March 23, 2023: Prelims and Quarters of ADRCC Competitions (Online)
- March 24, 2023: Semi Finals of ADRCC Competitions (Online) & Competitions like Article Writing, creative writing, judgment writing and Constitutional Law Quiz (online)
- March 25, 2023: Prelims of Harmony, Folklore, JAM and Am I Picasso? (Online) & Extempore Moot Court (Online)
- April 1, 2023: Final of ADRCC, Harmony, JAM, Folkore & Am I Picasso (Offline), Valedictory Ceremony

Application Procedure:
The interested students before filling out the participation form MUST apply at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in and cc to anwesha.pathak@ddn.upes.ac.in and abhijit.b@ddn.upes.ac.in with all necessary details (including Internal Ranks, details of team members) latest by 31st January 2023 before 11:59 PM. In case of any query, contact team ADR but kindly do not upload wrong information; for the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
