Language of the Competition

The competition will be conducted strictly in the English language.

Date and Time

Date: 23rd-25th April 2021

The Competition will be conducted as per the Indian Standard Time (IST) which is +5:30 Hours GMT and therefore all teams are requested to adjust to the timings accordingly. Any delay on the part of the participants will not be entertained.

Participation and Eligibility

The competition is open for participation for all bona fide students enrolled in Law Degree courses 3-Year (LL.B.) and 5-Year Integrated Course (B.A./BBA/BCom/BSc., LL.B.) or Masters in Law Courses (LL.M.) in any recognised University and/or Law School across India. The eligibility for Foreign Students is that they must be enrolled in any law or ADR accredited courses from any reputed and registered University across the world.

Team Composition

A team shall consist of two members, at least i.e., One Client & one Counsel.

  • One Mediator may register along with one team.
  • A student may register as a Mediator independently as well.
  • A Team may register a Coach along with the Team to accompany them in the Rounds as a silent spectator.
  • Teams shall not be altered after registration, except under extreme exigencies, on the discretion of the Organising Committee.

Team Registration: If a team registers all three members i.e. Client, Counsel and Mediator, the registration fee will be as follows:

  • For Indian University Teams: ₹ 3000/-
  • For Foreign University Teams: $50/-

Awards

  1. Winning Negotiation Team: ₹ 15,000/- + Access to Combo 6 (Corporate Laws Module at Taxmann.com) for One Year, (worth ₹ 66906).
  2. Runners-up Negotiation Team: ₹ 10,000/- + Access to Company & SEBI Laws Module (worth ₹ 26550).
  3. Winning Mediator: ₹ 7,500/- + Copy of Taxmann’s Company Law Ready Reckoner (worth ₹ 2195).
  4. Runners-up Mediator: ₹ 5,000/- + Copy of Taxmann’s Company Law Ready Reckoner (worth ₹ 2195).
  5. Best Mediation Plan: ₹ 7,500/- + Copy of Taxmann’s Company Law Ready Reckoner (worth ₹ 2195).

Application Procedure- The interested students before filling out the participation form MUST apply at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in and cc to  aprajita.singh@ddn.upes.ac.in latest by April 9th, 2021 before 12 PM. In case of any query, contact team ADR but kindly do not upload wrong information; for the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
