FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition follows a Med-Arb format, integrating both mediation and arbitration within the same dispute. Teams first attempt to resolve the dispute through mediation; if unsuccessful, the process transitions into arbitration. The competition includes preliminary rounds, followed by advanced knockout rounds, where participants are evaluated on negotiation, mediation skills, arbitration advocacy, and drafting abilities. The structure is designed to mirror real-world hybrid ADR processes and provide holistic professional exposure

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The competition is open to law students enrolled in recognised institutions. Each institution may provisionally register subject to slot confirmation by the Organising Committee. Participation is subject to compliance with the competition rules and timelines.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team shall consist of three members:

  • One Client

  • One Counsel

  • One Mediator

The same team members participate throughout all rounds, engaging in both mediation and arbitration phases as required.

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • 24 December 2025 – Commencement of Provisional Registration

  • 4 January 2026 – Last Date for Provisional Registration

  • 5 January 2026 – Confirmation of Final Slots

  • 10 January 2026 – Last Date for Seeking Clarifications

  • 15 January 2026 – Last Date for Final Registration & Payment

  • 22 January 2026 – Last Date for Submission of Memorials

  • 4–6 February 2026 – Competition Dates

Registration Fees

  • Registration Fee: ₹5,000 per team

  • Accommodation (Optional): ₹4,500 per person
    (₹13,500 per team of three; local transport included if accommodation is availed)

  • Winning Client–Counsel Pair: ₹15,000 + Internships at J. Sagar Associates (Client) & AZB & Partners (Counsel)

  • Runner-Up Client–Counsel Pair: ₹7,500 + Internships at J. Sagar Associates & AZB & Partners

  • Best Mediator: ₹15,000 + Internship at Keystone Partners

  • Runner-Up Mediator: ₹7,500 + Internship at Keystone Partners

  • Best Arbitral Award: ₹6,000 + Internship at Poovayya & Co.

  • Best Memorial: ₹6,000 + Internships at CMS INDUSLAW

  • Best Client–Counsel Pair (Prelims): ₹5,000 + Internship at ALMT Legal

  • Best Mediator (Prelims): ₹5,000 + Internship at ALMT Legal

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 2nd January 2026.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
