About the University
NALSAR University of Law was established in 1998 as a fully
residential National Law University. Since its inception, the
University has been home to vital conversations on law and justice.
With students admitted from all over the country and faculty
drawn from home and abroad, NALSAR is counted amongst the top
law schools of the country.
About the Competition
NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad is organising the 2nd edition of the NALSAR Mediation Tournament (“NMT”), which shall be held physically from 20-22 January 2023. The NMT aims to promote mediation and negotiation skills among students in India. This tournament seeks to popularise mediation as an alternative dispute resolution method and a career prospect for budding lawyers and law enthusiasts. Along with the competition, NMT will also include workshops and panel discussions by eminent personalities from the ADR circle who shall discuss recent developments in the field of mediation. The tournament will provide a distinguished platform for students to display their mediation skills and function as a tool for learning for all people present at the event.
Tentative Schedule
20th January 2023 - Opening Ceremony, Training Workshops
21st January 2023 Preliminary Rounds, Break Night
22nd January 2023 and Closing
- Semi-Finals, Finals and Closing Ceremony
Application Procedure:
The interested students before filling out the participation form MUST apply at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in and cc to anwesha.pathak@ddn.upes.ac.in and abhijit.b@ddn.upes.ac.in with all necessary details (including Internal Ranks, details of team members) latest by 5th December 2022 before 11:59 PM. In case of any query, contact team ADR but kindly do not upload wrong information; for the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
