About The Competition: 

Lloyd Law College is highly overwhelmed to announce the Fourth Edition of S.K. MISRA MEMORIAL INTERNATIONAL MEDIATION AND NEGOTIATION COMPETITION 2023 powered by Trust Legal Advocates & Consultants. The Second Edition of this Competition set a benchmark by registering the highest number of Registrations in the world. With the Provisional Registrations reaching up to 450, LLC broke all the records. Lloyd is back again with the spirit of creating another history in terms of spreading the knowledge of Mediation and Negotiation among the maximum number of Law Students. The Objective of this Competition is to promote the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution among the upcoming professionals with a mindset equipped to effectively resolve the dispute. 

Language: 

The Official Language of this Competition will be English

Location of the Competition: 

The competition will be held entirely on Zoom, a video conferencing tool. It will enable you to participate from anywhere in the world. You can participate from the comfort of your own home using a laptop, computer, or tablet.

Time of the Competition:

The competition will run on Indian Time (IST +05:30 GMT). Please make sure, you prepare for this in advance. 

Structure of Teams:  

Each Participating team shall comprise 3 members : 

a) One Neutral Mediator 

b) One Client 

c) One Counsel

 A maximum of Four Teams per university are allowed to participate. There will be separate problems for different rounds with different Confidential Information in each round. 


Eligibility Criteria: 

• Students must be registered as full-time or part-time law students. 

• Students who graduated before the Competition but no longer than three months before the start of the Competition are still eligible to participate. 


Stages of the Competitions 

This Competition will comprise of total 6 rounds: 

i. Preliminary Rounds (2) 

ii. Octa-Final Round (1)

 iii. Quarter-Final Round (1) 

iv. Semi-Final (1) 

v. Final Round (1)

Application Procedure:

The interested students before filling out the participation form MUST apply at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in and cc to anwesha.pathak@ddn.upes.ac.in and abhijit.b@ddn.upes.ac.in with all necessary details (including Internal Ranks, details of team members) latest by 5th January 2023 before 11:59 PM. In case of any query, contact team ADR but kindly do not upload wrong information; for the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
