We are pleased to announce that the CDRC Vienna 2025 will be held in person from 12 July – 16 July 2025

EVENT NAME:

CDRC Vienna 2025

FORMAT:

  • The CDRC Vienna is held in person.
  • Universities can apply for one or both of the following teams:
    • Negotiator Team
    • Mediator Team
  • Separate applications are required for each team.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

  • Negotiator Teams:
    • Minimum of 2, maximum of 4 students.
    • At least one team member must be a full/part-time law student (Counsel role).
    • Supported by 1-2 Coaches.
    • Cross-faculty or cross-university teams allowed.
  • Mediator Teams:
    • Minimum of 1, maximum of 2 students.
    • Supported by 1-2 Coaches.
    • Cross-faculty or cross-university teams allowed.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Students:

    • Must be registered as full-time/part-time students in the 2023/2024 academic year.
    • Graduate students eligible if they graduated no more than 6 months before the event and have up to 1 year of work experience.
    • Students with practical accreditation or experience outside academic contexts are not eligible.
    • Previous participants cannot compete again as team members.

  • Coaches:

    • Can be professors, qualified lawyers, lecturers, or experienced individuals in ADR, negotiation, or mediation.

APPLICATION AND SELECTION:

  • Each university can apply for one Negotiator Team and/or Mediator Team.
  • Application is online; deadlines are published on the website.
  • Selection is based on team skills, training, previous competition performance, and diversity.
  • Teams must confirm participation within 3 days if selected.

REGISTRATION:

  • Selected teams must pay a registration fee within two weeks of confirmation.
  • Fees must be paid via electronic transfer, with all associated costs borne by the team.
  • Failure to pay in time results in exclusion. The fee is non-refundable.

  • 1 October 2024 – Announcement of CDRC Vienna 2025 Dates
  • 1 November 2024 – Applications Open
  • 31 January 2025 – Application Deadline for Teams
  • 14 February 2025 – Application Deadline for Expert Assessors
  • February 2025 – Announcement of Selected Teams
  • March 2025 – Announcement of Selected Assessors
  • 11 July 2025 – CDRC Vienna Pre-Moot Conference 2025
  • 12 July – 16 July 2025 – 10th Anniversary of IBA-VIAC CDRC Vienna Mediation & Negotiation Competition
  • 16 July 2025 – Final Awards Reception

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 10th December 2024 by 11:59 pm.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
