EVENT NAME:

3rd Samanvay International Mediation Competition, 2025

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

he competition will follow a hybrid format, with initial rounds held online and advanced rounds at the HPNLU Shimla campus (weather permitting). It will feature six stages: two Preliminary Rounds, an Octa-Final, Quarter-Final, Semi-Final, and Final. Top teams will progress through each stage, with the event centred on resolving realistic, multi-dimensional disputes through creative and practical solutions.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Participation is open to all students pursuing a three-year or five-year law course from any recognised school, college, or university. All team members must be from the same institution; cross-institutional teams are not permitted. Each institution can register a maximum of three teams, and provisional registration must be officially done by the institution.

TEAM COMPOSITION:
Each team will comprise three members, designated as Mediator, Client, and Counsel, each playing a distinct and essential role in the competition. The Mediator will facilitate discussions impartially, guiding parties toward a mutually acceptable resolution. The Client will present the facts, concerns, and interests they represent, while the Counsel will advise the Client, develop strategies, and negotiate effectively to safeguard their interests. Roles must remain consistent throughout all rounds to ensure fairness, continuity, and role-specific skill assessment.

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • Closing of Final Registration: 20th August 2025

  • Training Workshop (Online): 18th September 2025

  • Inaugural Ceremony: 18th September 2025
  • Preliminary Round I & II: 19th September 2025
  • Octa-Final Round: 20th September 2025
  • Mediation Plan Deadline: 10th October 2025 (for Advanced Round teams)
  • Training Session (Offline): 13th October 2025
  • Quarter-Final & Semi-Final Rounds: 14th October 2025
  • Networking Event: 14th October 2025
  • Final Round & Valedictory Ceremony: 15th October 2025

REGISTRATION FEES:

The registration fee is ₹15,000 per team

(Inclusive of food, accommodation, registration, and logistical costs; transportation costs excluded. Non-refundable.)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  13th August 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

We are pleased to announce that the 4th NALSAR National Mediation Competition 2025  will be held in person from   24 January – 26 January 2025 EVENT NAME: 4th NALSAR National Mediation Tournament 2025 FORMAT: The Competition comprises of three Preliminary Rounds, Semi-finals and  the Final Round.  Each team must comprise of 3 members - one Mediator,  one Client and one Counsel. The roles of the participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the Competition. Each Round shall comprise of a Client-Counsel pair from each Side and 2 Mediators. What makes the NMT unique is that there will only be one single Problem  with evolving and increasingly complex Confidential Information (CI') given as the Rounds advance.
