1st Arun Jaitley National Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Competition, 2025

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition will be held in hybrid mode, with the Inaugural Ceremony and Preliminary Rounds conducted online on 26th–27th September 2025, and the advanced rounds held on-campus at the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi on 4th–5th October 2025. The format includes two Preliminary Rounds (30 minutes each), followed by Quarter-Finals (45 minutes), Semi-Finals (60 minutes), and the Final (75 minutes), with confidential information released prior to each round and top-scoring teams progressing through knockout stages until the winners are declared.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The competition is open to law colleges and universities recognised by the Bar Council of India, with eligibility limited to bona fide students enrolled in 3-year LL.B. or 5-year Integrated LL.B. programmes. Each institution may send a maximum of two teams, and all team members must belong to the same institution, as cross-institutional teams are not permitted.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team will comprise three members: one Mediator and a Client-Counsel pair. During the preliminary rounds, the Client and Counsel must each switch roles once, while in the knockout rounds this rotation is not required. The Mediator will retain the same role throughout the competition, and team members must remain unchanged unless an emergency arises, in which case substitutions may be allowed with the approval of the Organising Committee.

  • Last Date for Registration: 7th September 2025

  • Release of Mediation Problem: 16th September 2025

  • Release of Clarifications: 20th September 2025

  • Preliminary Rounds (Online): 26th–27th September 2025

  • Quarter-Finals & Semi-Finals (On-Campus): 4th October 2025

  • Finals & Valedictory Ceremony (On-Campus): 5th October 2025

REGISTRATION FEES:

The registration fee is ₹4,500 per team

Teams qualifying for advanced on-campus rounds will pay an additional amount for accommodation (details to be shared via email).

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  30th August 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

We are pleased to announce that the 4th NALSAR National Mediation Competition 2025  will be held in person from   24 January – 26 January 2025 EVENT NAME: 4th NALSAR National Mediation Tournament 2025 FORMAT: The Competition comprises of three Preliminary Rounds, Semi-finals and  the Final Round.  Each team must comprise of 3 members - one Mediator,  one Client and one Counsel. The roles of the participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the Competition. Each Round shall comprise of a Client-Counsel pair from each Side and 2 Mediators.
