Family Harmony Mediation Challenge 2025

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition will be held virtually on Zoom from 23rd to 26th October 2025, featuring two Preliminary Rounds, a Semi-Final, and a Final. In the prelims, each Mediating Pair will serve once as both Requesting and Responding Party. The top four in each category advance to the Semi-Finals, and the top two to the Finals. Time limits are 45 minutes for prelims, 60 minutes for Semi-Finals, and 90 minutes for Finals. Mediation problems, released three days prior, will centre on realistic family disputes such as custody, spousal support, property division, and inter-generational conflicts.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Participation is open to full-time or part-time law students enrolled in the academic year 2025–2026. Students who graduated in 2025, provided their graduation was within six months before the competition start date, are also eligible.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team must consist of three members, a Client, a Counsel, and a Mediator. If only two members participate, one will serve as the Mediator and the other as the Advocate representing the client. Roles will remain fixed throughout the competition.

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • Last Date of Registration: 16th October 2025

  • Launching of General Information: 21st October 2025

  • Preliminary Round 1: 24th October 2025
  • Preliminary Round 2: 25th October 2025
  • Semi-Finals: 26th October 2025
  • Finals: 26th October 2025

REGISTRATION FEES:

The registration fee is ₹3,500 per team

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  31st August 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

We are pleased to announce that the 4th NALSAR National Mediation Competition 2025  will be held in person from   24 January – 26 January 2025 EVENT NAME: 4th NALSAR National Mediation Tournament 2025 FORMAT: The Competition comprises of three Preliminary Rounds, Semi-finals and  the Final Round.  Each team must comprise of 3 members - one Mediator,  one Client and one Counsel. The roles of the participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the Competition. Each Round shall comprise of a Client-Counsel pair from each Side and 2 Mediators. What makes the NMT unique is that there will only be one single Problem  with evolving and increasingly complex Confidential Information (CI') given as the Rounds advance.
