EVENT NAME:

5th Edition of the IUU Mediation Competition 2025

FORMAT:
IMS Unison University, Dehradun, is excited to host the 5th Edition of the IUU Mediation Competition 2025, scheduled for 21st-22nd February 2025. This prestigious event invites law universities and institutes across India to participate in an enriching real-life mediation simulation, a crucial alternative to traditional litigation. Participants will take on the roles of Mediators and Client-Counsel pair, resolving disputes in a structured competition. The competition will consist of three rounds: Preliminary, Semi-Finals, and Finals. This platform enables law students to apply their legal knowledge, develop negotiation and communication skills, and experience the dynamic nature of dispute resolution. Expert-led training sessions will provide valuable insights into mediation techniques, helping participants navigate complex legal challenges.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

  • Each team must consist of three members:

    • Mediator: One team member will assume the role of the mediator.
    • Negotiating Team: Two members, one acting as the Client and the other as the Counsel.

    The roles of participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the competition.

ELIGIBILITY:
The competition is open to bona fide students pursuing:

  • LL.M.
  • Five-Year Integrated LL.B.
  • Three-Year LL.B.
    from any institute or university recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI).

REGISTRATION FEE:
Registration fee is ₹2000 (payable via NEFT or RTGS)

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Last Date of Registration: 16th February 2025
  • Formal Registration at IUU Campus: 21st February 2025
  • Inaugural Session & Draw of Lots for Preliminary Rounds: 21st February 2025
  • Preliminary Rounds: 21st February 2025
  • Draw of Lots for Semi-Final Round: 22nd February 2025
  • Semi-Final & Final Rounds: 22nd February 2025
  • Valedictory & Prize Distribution Ceremony: 22nd February 2025

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 6 Feb 2025 by 11:59 pm.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
