EVENT NAME:

LexPacto’s 3rd International Mediation cum 1st Negotiation Competition, 2025

FORMAT:
For the Mediation Competition, participants will be divided into teams. The competition will consist of multiple rounds, including Preliminary, Semi-Final, and Final rounds. Each team will participate in simulated mediation sessions, where they will act as mediators in resolving disputes. Teams will be assessed based on their mediation skills, negotiation techniques, and ability to manage conflict effectively.

For the Negotiation Competition, participants will engage in simulated negotiation rounds, where they will work to resolve disputes while observing legal principles. Teams will negotiate with opposing teams, aiming to reach a mutually agreeable solution.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The competition is open to all law colleges, law schools, and universities. Registered participants must be full-time or part-time law students. However, postgraduate law students and correspondence course students are not eligible to participate.

Cross-institutional teams are permitted. Each participating institution can register up to three teams for the competition.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Registration Starts: 10th January 2025
  • Release of Office Memo: 10th January 2025
  • Last Date for Registration: 10th February 2025
  • Allotment of Team Code: 15th February 2025
  • Submission of Negotiation Plan: 18th February 2025
  • Oral Rounds: 22nd-23rd February 2025

REGISTRATION FEES:

  • Mediation Competition: Indian Teams: INR 4500 | International Teams: $60
  • Negotiation Competition: Indian Teams: INR 4000 | International Teams: $56
  • Combined Participation in Both Events: INR 7000 | $80

PRIZES:
Total Prizes Worth INR 75,000 + Trophy + Books + LexPacto’s Certificate Course(s) + Internship Recommendation + Certificates

Awards for Mediation Competition:

  • Winners: INR 20,000 + Certificate of Merit
  • Runner-up: INR 10,000 + Certificate of Merit
  • Best Mediator: INR 5,000 + Certificate of Merit
  • Runner-up Negotiating Pair: INR 5,000 + Certificate of Merit

Awards for Negotiation Competition:

  • Best Negotiating Pair: INR 15,000 + Certificate of Appreciation
  • Second Best Negotiating Pair: INR 7,500 + Certificate of Appreciation
  • Best Negotiation Plan: INR 5,000 + Certificate of Appreciation
  • Certificate of Participation: To be awarded to each member of all participating teams.
