3rd Edition of the National Mediation Competition, 2025

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition will be held in two phases: the Preliminary Rounds (virtual) on 27th September 2025 and the Advanced Rounds (offline) on 30th–31st October 2025 at RCL, Bengaluru. The event will consist of six rounds in total: two Preliminary Rounds, Octa-Finals, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the Final. Each round will test participants’ negotiation, communication, and mediation skills through simulated real-life disputes. The Mediating Pair and the Mediator will be judged independently in every round, ensuring fair evaluation of both segments.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The competition is open to all universities/institutions offering a 5-year or 3-year LL.B. course recognised by the Bar Council of India. Each team must belong to the same institution, and every participating team must consist of three members: a Client, a Counsel, and a Mediator. A maximum of three teams per institution is allowed, and final selection will be at the discretion of the ADR Society.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team shall consist of three members—one Client, one Counsel, and one Mediator. The roles of the Client and Counsel will be carried out by the Negotiating Team, while the Mediator will act as a neutral facilitator. Once registered, team composition cannot be changed except under extraordinary circumstances with prior permission from the organisers.

  • Draw of Lots: 26th September 2025

  • Preliminary Rounds (Virtual): 27th September 2025

  • Advanced Rounds (Offline at RCL, Bengaluru): 30th–31st October 2025



Registration Fees
  • ₹4,500 per team for preliminary rounds.
  • Additional ₹1,000 per person for accommodation (for teams qualifying to advanced rounds).

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  15th September 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

EVENT NAME: Mediation Bombay 6.0 – International Dispute Resolution Competition (2025-26) FORMAT: The competition will be structured as : The competition will be held in a hybrid format , with Preliminary Rounds online from 9th–12th October 2025 and advanced rounds offline at MNLU Mumbai on 7th–8th March 2026 . We are pleased to announce that the 4th NALSAR National Mediation Competition 2025  will be held in person from   24 January – 26 January 2025 EVENT NAME: 4th NALSAR National Mediation Tournament 2025 FORMAT: The Competition comprises of three Preliminary Rounds, Semi-finals and  the Final Round.  Each team must comprise of 3 members - one Mediator,  one Client and one Counsel. The roles of the participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the Competition. Each Round shall comprise of a Client-Counsel pair from each Side and 2 Mediators.
