VIII SYAR National Negotiation Competition, 2025

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition will simulate commercial negotiations with each team represented by two members, acting as Client and Counsel. It will include Preliminary Rounds followed by Octa-Finals, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the Final Round. Time limits will increase with each stage: 50 minutes in preliminaries, 60 minutes in octa-finals, 70 minutes in quarter-finals, 90 minutes in semi-finals, and 120 minutes in the final. The top 16 teams from the preliminaries will qualify for the advanced rounds, proceeding through knock-outs until the final

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The competition is open to all bona fide law students enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree programme (or equivalent) at a recognised institution. Each institution may send up to four teams

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team shall consist of two members only—one acting as Counsel and the other as Client. Certificates and team codes will be issued based on the details submitted at registration, and roles cannot be changed except with administrator approval

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • Last Date for Provisional Registration: 5th October 2025

  • Last Date for Final Registration: 15th October 2025

  • Last Date for Seeking Clarifications: 25th October 2025

  • Release of Negotiation Problem(s): 30th October 2025

  • Procedural Order for Clarifications: 5th November 2025

  • Negotiation Rounds: 7th–9th November 2025

Registration Fees:

  • ₹6,000 per team (non-refundable; payment details shared after confirmation).
    A maximum of 72 teams will be registered

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  30th September 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

EVENT NAME: Mediation Bombay 6.0 – International Dispute Resolution Competition (2025-26) FORMAT: The competition will be structured as : The competition will be held in a hybrid format , with Preliminary Rounds online from 9th–12th October 2025 and advanced rounds offline at MNLU Mumbai on 7th–8th March 2026 . Teams will first compete in four prelims, after which the top 16 advance to the Octa-Finals, 12 to the Quarter-Finals, and 6 to the Semi-Finals (which also serve as the final round for mediators).
