FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The 4th Edition of the Virtual International Client Counselling Competition 2026 will be held online from 6th to 8th February 2026, comprising four stages — Preliminary, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Finals. Each round will simulate a realistic client-counsel interaction, assessing participants on communication, professionalism, legal reasoning, and problem-solving skills. In the Preliminary Round, all teams will participate once, with teammates performing separately as Client and Counsel in different virtual rooms. Advancement to subsequent rounds will be based on individual performance scores, ensuring fairness and encouraging excellence in both roles.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be eligible to participate, students must be enrolled as full-time or part-time law students for the academic year 2025–2026. Students who have graduated in 2025, but not more than six months prior to the commencement of the competition, are also eligible to participate.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team shall consist of two members, one acting as the Client and the other as the Counsel. Both participants will perform their respective roles individually in separate virtual rooms during the Preliminary Round and subsequent stages. Roles must remain the same throughout the competition, and no substitutions or role changes will be permitted after registration, except with prior approval from the organisers in exceptional circumstances.

  • Last Date for Team Registration: 2nd February 2026

  • Release of Simulation Problem: 3rd February 2026

  • Preliminary Round: 6th February 2026

  • Quarter-Final Round: 7th February 2026

  • Semi-Final Round: 8th February 2026

  • Final Round: 8th February 2026

Registration Fees:
  • ₹3,500 per team (for Indian participants)

  • USD 45 per team (for international participants)

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  15th December 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
