Presidency University National Mediation Competition 2025

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition will take place on 15th and 16th November 2025 in offline mode at Presidency University, Bengaluru. It consists of five progressive rounds — two Preliminary Rounds, Octa-Finals, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Finals.
Each team will act as both Requesting and Responding Party during the prelims. Mediators will facilitate between negotiating pairs from different institutions. The problems will cover themes such as matrimonial and civil disputes, mirroring real-world mediation sessions under IAMC Mediation Rules.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Participation is open to all students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes at institutions recognized by the Bar Council of India. Each institution can register a maximum of two teams for the competition.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team shall comprise three members — one Mediator and one Client-Counsel Pair.
Roles must be designated during registration and will remain fixed throughout the competition.
Teams may only alter members in exceptional circumstances with prior written approval from the Organizing Committee.

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • Opening of Registrations: 17th September 2025

  • Closing of Registrations: 12th October 2025

  • Release of First Mediation Problem: 15th October 2025

  • Last Date for Seeking Clarifications: 17th October 2025

  • Release of Clarifications: 20th October 2025

  • Competition Dates: 15th & 16th November 2025

Registration Fees:
  • A non-refundable fee of ₹3,800 per team (inclusive of accommodation) is to be paid at the time of final registration.
    Accommodation and meals will be provided by the Organizing Committee during the competition days.

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  11th October 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

EVENT NAME: Mediation Bombay 6.0 – International Dispute Resolution Competition (2025-26) FORMAT: The competition will be structured as : The competition will be held in a hybrid format , with Preliminary Rounds online from 9th–12th October 2025 and advanced rounds offline at MNLU Mumbai on 7th–8th March 2026 . Teams will first compete in four prelims, after which the top 16 advance to the Octa-Finals, 12 to the Quarter-Finals, and 6 to the Semi-Finals (which also serve as the final round for mediators). We are pleased to announce that the 4th NALSAR National Mediation Competition 2025  will be held in person from   24 January – 26 January 2025 EVENT NAME: 4th NALSAR National Mediation Tournament 2025 FORMAT: The Competition comprises of three Preliminary Rounds, Semi-finals and  the Final Round.  Each team must comprise of 3 members - one Mediator,  one Client and one Counsel. The roles of the participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the Competition. Each Round shall comprise of a Client-Counsel pair from each Side and 2 Mediators. What makes the NMT unique is that there will only be one single Problem  with evolving and increasingly complex Confidential Information (CI') given as the Rounds advance.
