1st National Client Counselling Competition, 2025

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition is designed to simulate a real client-counsel interaction, allowing participants to showcase their skills in interviewing, advising, and problem-solving. Each round will focus on testing participants’ ability to build rapport, identify legal issues, and provide practical solutions using effective communication and counselling techniques. The event will include Preliminary, Semi-Final, and Final Rounds, conducted virtually.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Participation is open to law students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes from any recognized institution. Each university or college can register a maximum of two teams, and cross-institutional teams are permitted.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team shall consist of two members only, acting as Client and Counsel. Teams are expected to maintain their designated roles throughout the competition.

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • ₹3,000 per team (non-refundable)

  • Registration is limited to 30 teams, accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration Fees:
  • non-refundable fee of ₹3,800 per team (inclusive of accommodation) is to be paid at the time of final registration.
    Accommodation and meals will be provided by the Organizing Committee during the competition days.

Awards (Worth ₹50,000)

  • Winning Team: ₹20,000 + Certificate of Merit

  • Runners-Up Team: ₹15,000 + Certificate of Merit

  • Best Counsel: ₹10,000 + Certificate of Merit

  • Runner-Up Counsel: ₹5,000 + Certificate of Merit

  • E-certificates for all participants

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  15th October 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
