MMCS International Maritime Arbitration Competition 2026 (MIMAC 2026)
The competition will be structured as:
The competition will be conducted in two major phases: written submissions and oral rounds. In the first phase, teams are required to prepare written memorials for both the Claimant and Respondent addressing the maritime dispute problem released by the organizers. Based on these submissions, teams will advance to the oral rounds, where they present arguments before a panel of arbitrators. The oral stage includes general rounds followed by knockout rounds such as Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the Final Round, allowing participants to demonstrate their advocacy, arbitration strategy, and legal reasoning skills in international maritime disputes

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The competition is open to law students from universities across the world who are interested in maritime law and international arbitration. Each participating institution may register a maximum of two teams to take part in the competition.
TEAM COMPOSITION:
Each team generally consists of multiple members responsible for drafting written submissions and presenting oral arguments before the arbitral tribunal during the oral rounds of the competition. Participants collaborate to represent either the Claimant or the Respondent in the arbitration proceedings.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The competition is open to law students from universities across the world who are interested in maritime law and international arbitration. Each participating institution may register a maximum of two teams to take part in the competition.
