MediateGuru’s 6th Virtual International Mediation Competition (VIMC) 2026 | 10–12 April 2026 


FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition is structured in two stages — Qualifying Rounds and Advanced Rounds. The Qualifying Stage consists of two Preliminary Rounds, where each mediating pair represents both the Requesting and Responding Party once. Based on cumulative scores, the top teams advance to the Advanced Stage, which comprises the Semi-Final Round and the Final Round conducted on a knock-out basis. Each mediation session involves two mediators and two mediating pairs (client and counsel), and is conducted within a prescribed time limit. The competition also includes a prior training session for participants.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible, students must be enrolled as full-time or part-time law students in the academic year 2025–2026. Students who graduated in 2025 (not more than six months prior to the commencement of the competition) are also eligible to participate.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team shall consist of three participants — one Mediator, one Client, and one Counsel. In case a team has only two participants, one participant will act as Mediator and the other will assume the role of Advocate representing the client’s interest.

    • Launch of General Information: 07 April 2026

Competition

    • Training Session: 09 April 2026

    • Preliminary Round 1: 10 April 2026

    • Preliminary Round 2: 11 April 2026

    • Semi-Finals: 12 April 2026

    • Finals: 12 April 2026 

Registration Fees

    • Indian Students: ₹4,000 per team

    • European Students: €80

    • Other International Students: $80

    • (The fee includes an exhaustive training session exclusively for participants. The fee is non-refundable.)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 1st April 2026.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
