2nd IILM Client Counselling Competition, 2026

Organised by IILM School of Law, Gurugram 

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition will be conducted in a hybrid mode, with the Preliminary Round held online (24 March 2026) and the Semi-Finals and Final conducted offline at IILM University, Gurugram (10–11 April 2026). The competition follows a Point Qualification System, where teams advance based on cumulative scores. Each round consists of three structured stages: Consultation, Post-Consultation, and Critique. In the Preliminary Round, all registered teams compete; the top 6 teams advance to the Semi-Finals, and the top 2 teams from the Semi-Finals compete in the Final Round


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Students enrolled in any year of a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programme from any recognized University/Law School/College are eligible to participate. Not more than two teams from the same institution are permitted. Cross-institutional teams are allowed. A maximum of 30 teams will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team shall consist of 2 participants only, who will simulate a client consultation session together. Both members must actively consult with the client and collaboratively participate in all stages of the competition

  • Last Date of Registration: 21 March 2026

  • Preliminary Round (Online): 24 March 2026

  • Semi-Finals (Offline): 10 April 2026

  • Finals & Valedictory (Offline): 11 April 2026

Registration Fees

    • ₹500 per team (for participation up to Preliminary Round)

    • Teams qualifying for Semi-Finals/Finals:

      • ₹1000 total (without accommodation)

      • ₹2000 total (with accommodation including food & stay)

    • Registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable

Awards
  • Winners: ₹14,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit + Internship + Medal + Bare Acts

  • Runners-Up: ₹8,000 + Trophy + Certificate of Merit + Internship + Medal + Bare Acts

  • Semi-Finalists: Certificate of Merit + Internship + Medal + Bare Acts

  • Best Counsel (Prelims): ₹4,000 + Certificate of Merit + Internship + Medal + Bare Acts

  • E-Certificates to all participants

  • Total Prize Pool: ₹1,50,000

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 16th March 2026.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
