CONCORDAT 5.0 – C-NEG (Client Counselling & Negotiation) Competition

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

CONCORDAT 5.0 is a comprehensive ADR fest featuring two formats: Client Counselling & Negotiation (C-NEG) and Mediation–Arbitration (Med-Arb), conducted from 8–10 May 2026.

C-NEG (Client Counselling & Negotiation)

The competition begins with Client Counselling rounds (Preliminary & Quarter-Finals), where teams interact with clients and provide legal advice based on given problems. The Semi-Finals and Final Rounds transition into Negotiation rounds, where teams represent parties and attempt to resolve disputes through structured negotiation strategies.

Med-Arb (Mediation & Arbitration)

The competition follows a hybrid ADR process. The Preliminary and Quarter-Final rounds are Mediation sessions, where teams engage in dispute resolution with the help of a mediator and may include private caucuses. The Semi-Final and Final rounds shift to Arbitration, where teams present legal arguments before a tribunal. The competition follows a knockout format, advancing teams based on cumulative performance.

C-NEG (Client Counselling & Negotiation)

TEAM COMPOSITION:

  • C-NEG: Each team consists of 2 members, who act as counsel during counselling rounds and switch roles as client/counsel during negotiation rounds.
  • Med-Arb: Each team consists of 3 membersClient, Counsel, and Mediator for mediation rounds, and the same team assumes roles of Counsel 1, Counsel 2, and Researcher during arbitration rounds

Important Dates 

    • Final Registration Deadline: 26 April 2026
    • Release of Proposition: 15 April 2026 (Tentative)
    • Last Date for Clarifications: 23 April 2026
    • Release of Clarifications: 26 April 2026
    • Submission of Strategy Paper: 30 April 2026
    • Competition Dates: 8–10 May 2026


Registration Fees

    • Med-Arb:
      • ₹3,000 per person (₹9,000 per team)
      • Early Bird: ₹2,500 per person (₹7,500 per team)
    • C-NEG:
      • ₹3,000 per person (₹6,000 per team) (as per competition format)
    • The fee includes accommodation, meals, and intra-city transport during the event. Fees are non-refundable.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 15 April 2026.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
