National Online Med-Arb Competition (NOMAC), 2022

The 2nd edition of National Online Med-Arb Competition (NOMAC), 2022 is being conducted by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board as a part of the 7th edition of our flagship event, the National ADR Competition (NADR). The essence of hosting such a Competition is to enable participants to gain exposure in the field of ADR and understand how the ADR mechanisms are holistic in nature.

We extend a warm invitation to your Institution to participate in the competition scheduled to be held online from 11th February 2022 to 13th February 2022. Each Institution shall be allotted only 1 slot for the Mediation- Arbitration Competition.  

We ensure that this event will be a memorable experience for every participant, in terms of quality and exposure to the nuances of the ADR Mechanisms in the legal profession. The aim of this competition is to help budding law students to get accustomed to the ADR mechanisms in the legal arena and promote ADR Mechanisms in the future.  

Each participating team shall consist of 3 members, where 2 members shall act as a client and advocate pair or as a legal counsel pair in the Mediation/ Arbitration session respectively and 1 member as a Mediator/Researcher. The role of the members shall not be changed.

 

Event Schedule:

Commencement of Provisional Registration

4th January, 2022. 

Last date for Provisional Registration (by the University)

8th January, 2022.  

Confirmation of Slots (Provisional Registration)

9th January, 2022.

Commencement of Final Registration

6th January 2022

Deadline for Registration of Teams along with Payment 

15th January 2022.

Release of Problem

10th January 2022

Application Procedure- The interested students before filling out the participation form MUST apply at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in and cc to  spathak@ddn.upes.ac.in  latest by 8th January 2022 before 11:59 PM. In case of any query, contact team ADR but kindly do not upload wrong information; for the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
