EVENT NAME:

XMC’25 - 3rd Xavier Mediation Competition 2025

FORMAT:

The competition will take place in the structure of:

  • Preliminary Rounds 
  • Quarter-Finals 
  • Semi-Finals
  • Final Round

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • Open to all law students pursuing an LL.B. (3-year or 5-year course) or LL.M. from any recognized law school, college, or university 

TEAM COMPOSITION:

  • Each team must consist of two members:

    • Mediator: One team member will assume the role of the mediator.
    • Negotiating team: Two team members will consist of client and counsel

    The roles of participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the competition.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Release of Mediation Problems – 15th February 2025
  • Last Date for Seeking Clarifications – 25th March 2025
  • Release of Clarifications – 28th March 2025
  • Last Date for Team Registrations – 26th March 2025
  • Competition Dates:
    • 2nd April 2025 – Spot Registrations, Opening Ceremony, Team Orientation, Draw of Lots
    • 3rd April 2025 – Preliminary Rounds I & II, Draw of Lots for Quarter-Finals
    • 4th April 2025 – Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, Final Round, Prize Distribution, Closing Ceremony

    • REGISTRATION FEES:

    Domestic Teams: ₹4,500 per team

    SAARC Nations: $60 per team

    Other International Teams: $100 per team

    APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

    Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 20th March 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
