Amity University Madhya Pradesh has been established by the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF), New Delhi which is a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.It was established with the view to promoting professional, industry-oriented education in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
About the Competition
The Mediation Committee, Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh is organizing the National Mediation Competition 3rd edition, 2023 to offer law students across the country an opportunity to cultivate and enhance their mediation and negotiation skills. The objective of this event is to promote the spirit of amicable resolution of disputes and aims to foster an environment for law students to learn and develop their skills in mediation.
Following are details of the Competition-
Eligibility : All bonafide students either from undergraduate or postgraduate courses from 3 years or 5 years law programs. Each participating team shall comprise 3 members in which one (1) member shall be designated as Mediator, one (1) member as Client, and one (1) as counsel.

Registration Fees - Rs. 4500/-
Mode of the Competition :
The details of the mode of the competition will be released and shared on 20th August 2023.
Round Details:
- Preliminary Round- 16 teams will be competing, The Preliminary Round will be of 60 minutes inclusive of the entire mediation process and the private caucus. A maximum of 10 minutes can be taken for the private caucus, this 10 minute is inclusive of conducting caucuses for both the teams.
- Quarter Finals Round- 8 teams will be competing in this. Teams selected from the preliminary round on “Knock-Out” basis will qualify for the quarter-finals which will be for a total period of 60 minutes. This time is inclusive of the entire mediation process and the private caucus. A maximum of 10 minutes can be taken for the private caucus, these 10 minutes are inclusive of conducting caucuses for both the teams.
- Semi-Finals Round - 4 teams will be competing, four teams qualifying for Semi-Finals will be selected on a “Knock- Out‟ basis from the quarter finals rounds. The Time limit of the Semi-Finals will be 70 minutes. This time is inclusive of the entire mediation process and the private caucus. Maximum of 10 minutes can be taken for the private caucus, these 10 minutes are inclusive of conducting caucuses for both the teams.
- Final Round- 2 teams will be competing. These two teams selected for the final on a “Knock- Out” basis from the Semi-final rounds will compete in the Final for a total time period of 90 Minutes. This time is inclusive of the entire mediation process and the private caucus. Maximum of 15 minutes can be taken for the private caucus, these 15 minutes are inclusive of conducting caucuses for both the teams.
The official language of the Mediation Competition is English. Communication in any other international, national or regional language during the Mediation Competition shall not be permitted.
The dress code for the Competition is business formals. Gowns and bands are not permitted to be worn by the participants in the Competition. Non-adherence to the dress code shall attract a penalty to the teams.
Preliminary Training session will be organised by the organising committee, details of the same will be shared with the registered participants.
