EVENT NAME:
4th NALSAR National Mediation Tournament 2025
FORMAT:
- The Competition comprises of three Preliminary Rounds, Semi-finals and the Final Round. Each team must comprise of 3 members - one Mediator, one Client and one Counsel. The roles of the participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the Competition. Each Round shall comprise of a Client-Counsel pair from each Side and 2 Mediators.
- What makes the NMT unique is that there will only be one single Problem with evolving and increasingly complex Confidential Information (CI') given as the Rounds advance. The allotment of Sides may change after each Round. To ensure a complete understanding of the evolving Problem, the CI of both Sides from the previous Round shall be revealed to all participating teams before the next round.
TEAM COMPOSITION:
- Each team must comprise of 3 members - one Mediator, one Client and one Counsel. The roles of the participants must remain consistent throughout all rounds of the Competition. Each Round shall comprise of a Client-Counsel pair from each Side and 2 Mediators.
ELIGIBILITY:
- The competition is intended for law students rather than practitioners.
- Students pursuing post-graduate studies, such as a master's degree or practical legal training, are ineligible.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT:
Payment of Registration Fee: The registration fee is INR 12,000 per team, which covers the following:
o Participation in pre-competition activities
o Accommodation and food arrangements throughout the tournament
o Access to the Social Night and networking opportunities with fellow participants and industry professionals

Completion of Registration Form: Please ensure that the attached Google form is filled out in full to finalize your registration.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- November 2024 – Provisional Registration
- 10th December 2024 – Last Date of Final registration
- 24 January to 26 January – Mediation Rounds
Details regarding the tournament like the rulebook and brochure of the 4th NALSAR Mediation Tournament, 2025 shall be released in due course. However, for the time being, for the purposes of internal selection, if any, kindly follow the rulebook of the previous edition of the competition.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 9th December 2024 by 11:59 pm. In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
