CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, through its ADR Board cordially invites law students
to participate in its 5th Christ Med-Arb Competition (CMAC) to be conducted from 13th February, 2025, to 15th February, 2025.

EVENT NAME:

5th Christ Med-Arb Competition (CMAC) 2025

FORMAT:

  • Preliminary Rounds - All Competing Teams.
  • Quarter-Finals - 8 top teams from preliminary rounds.
  • Semi-Finals - 4 top teams from the Quarter final rounds.
  • Finals - 2 top teams from the Semi-final rounds.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

  • Composition of the Team: Each participating team shall consist of 3 members. Each team in the Mediation Round(s) shall play the role of a Client and Advocate pair and 1 member as a Mediator. The team in the Arbitration Round(s) shall constitute of 2 Counsels and 1 member as an observer. (The Client- Advocate Team in the Mediation Round shall act as a pair of Counsels in the Arbitration Round, and the Mediator in the Mediation Round shall act as an observer in the Arbitration Round). No team shall be accompanied by a coach or an instructor. Requests for changes in team composition or roles should be communicated to the ADR Board by 1st January 2025. The roles of the members shall not be changed throughout the competition.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • All the law students currently pursuing three-year LL.B., five-year LL.B., or similar/equivalent undergraduate legal studies from any recognized institution across the world are eligible to participate in the Competition.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT:

  • The particulars of the registration fees payable by a Team are as follows:

    Registration fee : INR 7000

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Commencement of Provisional Registration: 12th December 2024 
  • Deadline for Provisional Registration: 21st December 2024 
  • Release of Problem: 12th December 2024 
  • Last date for Final Registration and Payment: 1st January 2025
  •  Last day for seeking clarifications: 5th January 2025 
  • Last date for written submissions: 18th January, 2025 
  • Competition Dates: 13th, 14th and 15th February, 2025

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 28th December 2024 by 11:59 pm.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
