We are pleased to announce that the TNNLU International Med-Arb Competition (IMAC) 2025 will be held in person from  25 January.

EVENT NAME:

 TNNLU International Med-Arb Competition (IMAC) 2025

FORMAT:

  • Preliminary Round I (online) – Mediation, Arbitration, and Arbitral Award Writing Stages
  • Preliminary Round II (online) – Mediation, Arbitration, and Arbitral Award Writing Stages
  • Qualifier Round (offline) – Mediation, Arbitration, and Arbitral Award Writing Stages
  • Semi-Final Round (offline) – Mediation and Arbitration Stages
  • Final Round (offline) – Mediation and Arbitration Stages

TEAM COMPOSITION:

  • Each Team shall consist of three members – two members shall act as the Negotiating Team and one member shall act as the Mediator-Arbitrator. The composition of the team shall not be changed save as permitted in writing by the Organizing Committee in exceptional cases.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • All the law students currently pursuing three-year LL.B., five-year LL.B., or similar/equivalent undergraduate legal studies from any recognized institution across the world are eligible to participate in the Competition.
  • Independent Teams, including Cross-University Teams, are permitted to participate in the Competition.
  • Individuals who are certified mediators or have professionally mediated settlements are not eligible to participate.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT:

  • The particulars of the registration fees payable by a Team are as follows:

    Preliminary Rounds:

    a. Indian Teams: INR ₹6,000/-

    b. International Teams: USD $75/-

    Advanced Rounds:

    a. Indian Teams: INR ₹15,000/-

    b. International Teams: USD $180/-

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Commencement of Provisional Registration - 25th November 2024
  • Deadline for Provisional Registration -15th December 2024
  • Confirmation of Slots and Commencement of Final Registration - 20th December 2024
  • Release of Problem - 25th December 2024
  • Deadline for Seeking Clarifications - 2nd January 2025
  • Deadline for Final Registration -10th January 2025
  • Release of Clarifications - 12th January 2025
  • Deadline for submitting soft copy of Memorandum(s) for Prelims - 20th January 2025
  • Preliminary Rounds of TNNLU IMAC, 2025 - 25th January 2025
  • Advanced Rounds of TNNLU IMAC, 2025 -19th – 20th April 2025
  • Valedictory Ceremony - 20th April 2025

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 1st January 2025 by 11:59 pm.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
