EVENT NAME:

INTERNATIONAL MEDIATION COMPETITION 2024

The International Student Mediation Competition (Hybrid) 2024 will take place as part of the International Mediation Conclave, 2024, from August 10th to 11th. The competition aims to provide students with an understanding of mediation and to familiarize them with this process. Mediation is a continually growing legal procedure and one of the most effective forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in today's world. For new lawyers, it is crucial to be proficient in mediation and negotiation skills within this evolving civil justice system. The competition shall be held in hybrid format with the National Teams from India attending the same ‘in-person’ from August 8th to 11th 2024
PARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
●The registration shall be open to full time and part time law students. ● Students enrolled and pursuing post-graduate diploma or short- term certificate courses in law are not eligible to apply. ● Cross-Institute Teams shall not be eligible to participate in this Competition. ● A single Team per Institute shall be allowed to register for this Competition.

IMPORTANT DATES ● Commencing of Registration: 20th May 2024 ● Last Day for Provisional Registration: 23rd July 2024 ● Last Day for Final Registration: 25th July 2024 ● Submission of travel forms: 31st July 2024 ● Release of scenarios: 27th July 2024 ● Last Day to Submit Clarifications: 29th July 2024 ● Inauguration and Workshop: 8th August 2024 ● Conference: 9th August 2024 ● Prelims 1&2: 10th August 2024 ● Semi-finals: 11th August 2024 ● Finals and Valedictory: 11th August 2024
PRIZES The winners will be awarded a cash prize worth INR 100,000 

TEAM COMPOSITION:

  • Each team participating team shall comprise 3 members:

    • One Mediator.
    • One Client.
    • One Counsel.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 29th July 2024.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.

                                                      Bucerius Law School  is pleased to announce the  10th Bucerius Mediation Competition by BODENHEIMER w ill take place in a hybrid format between the 29th of November and the 1st of December.
