About the Competition 

The Ad Hoc Negotiation Competition has been created especially for law and business students and will be presented in collaboration with the European Institute for Conflict Resolution (EICR).  At ADR ODR International, we think that having effective negotiation skills may assist people in all professions settle disputes at work, at home, and in their personal lives. The capacity to negotiate can alter your perspective of and approach to conflict. 

Format of the competition 

The competition aims to give you a fundamental understanding of how conflicts arise; an introduction to conflict resolution; the ability to critically evaluate the use of conflict resolution methods and approaches; the ability to arm you with the fundamental skills necessary to negotiate your way through a conflict; the ability to help you understand the principles behind negotiation; the ability to help you understand the cross-cultural issues that can occur during negotiations; and the opportunity for you to meet new people.


Team composition: Each team is made up of 3 Individual.

Venue: Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Academy

Application Procedure:

The interested students before filling out the participation form MUST apply at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in and cc to  anwesha.pathak@ddn.upes.ac. and haetejs.kochher@ddn.upes.ac.in in with all necessary details (including Internal Ranks, details of team members, Contact number) latest by 15th July 2023 before 11:59 PM. In case of any query, contact team ADR but kindly do not upload wrong information; for the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
