"MEDIATEGURU is pleased to announce its 2nd VIRTUAL INTERNATIONAL CLIENT COUNSELLING COMPETITION from 19th Jan-21st Jan 2024."

 

In order to promote social consciousness, Mediateguru wants to close the gap between different social strata in a community and the mediators. In addition,  Mediateguru put on important events like webinars, seminars, and competitions like those for mediation and arbitration.  The Client Counselling Competition fosters legal students' awareness of and enthusiasm for the preventitive and counselling aspects of legal practice. Additionally, it promotes the growth of planning, interviewing, and analytical  skills in the context of the lawyer- client interaction in the legal profession. ThisCompetition provides an excellent opportunity for valuable educational and cultural interchange changes between students and lawyers. 

                                                                                       

FORMAT OF COMPETITION: 

 

·      One teammate will play role of client and other will play role of counsel. 

·       Each team will get one opportunity to represent them in the Preliminary Round. 

·       Each session would have 2 counsel (from different teams) and 2 clients (from different teams). 

·       Counsel and Client will qualify on their individual scores and not on total team score. 

 

 ELIGIBILITY: 

  • A  Maximum of 4 teams are allowed to participate from each college.
  • Students must br enrolled as full-or part- time law students during the academic year 2023-2024 in order to participate.
  • Students who graduated in 2023, before to the tournament, but no more than six months before it started, are still allowed to compete.

 

IMPORTANT DATES: 

 

·      Last Day To Register- 13th January 2024 

·       Release Of Problem- 16th January 2024 

·       Preliminary Rounds- 19th January 2024 

·       Quarter Final Rounds- 20th January 2024 

·       Semi Final Rounds- 21st January 2024 

·       Final Rounds- 21st January 2024

Application Procedure:


Interested students before filling out the participation form MUST apply at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in and cc to anwesha.pathak@ddn.upes.ac.in with all necessary details (incuding Name, Sap Id, Course & Batch, year and Internal Ranks of TEAM MEMBERS, and Contact number) latest by 26th September 2023 before 11:59 PM. In case of any query, contact team ADR but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
