NEXCORD – 2nd Edition of CHRIST Treaty Drafting & Negotiation Competition 2026
Organised by the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition consists of two stages:

  1. Treaty Drafting Round, where teams draft a comprehensive international treaty addressing a multidimensional conflict involving environmental collapse, cyber warfare, humanitarian fragmentation, and geopolitical tensions between Marvona & Kestrelia.

  2. Final Negotiation Round, where the top 4 qualifying teams negotiate their drafted treaties in a simulated international negotiation setting.

The design mirrors real-world geopolitical treaty negotiations, encouraging participants to integrate environmental governance, humanitarian protections, cyber stability, and global security norms into a single coherent treaty.


ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

TEAM COMPOSITION:

  • Each team consists of 2 members (any academic background allowed).

  • Both members jointly prepare the treaty and, if selected, participate in negotiations.

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • 11 December 2025 – Call for Registrations

  • 21 December 2025 – Last Date for Registration

  • 22 December 2025 – Allotment of Team Codes & Countries

  • 22 December 2025 – Problem Statement Released

  • 29 December 2025 – Last Date for Submission

  • 2 January 2026 – Announcement of 4 Qualifying Teams

  • 13 January 2026 – Final Round


Registration Fees

  • ₹400 – For CHRIST (Deemed to be University) students

  • ₹500 – For participants from other institutions

    • Registration through Google Form + mandatory attachment of payment receipt.

Awards

  • Winner Team: ₹4,000

  • Runner-Up Team: ₹2,500

  • Second Runner-Up Team: ₹1,500

  • Certificates:

    • Soft copy for all participants

    • Hard copy for all finalists (offline round)

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by  19th December 2025.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
