"Christ (Deemed to be University) is pleased to announce its 4th Edition of the National Med-Arb Competition scheduled to be held from 19th to 20th January 2024".


School of Law, CHRIST(Deemed to be University) (SLCU), Bangalore, is a part of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, which was founded and is administered by Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The Alternative Dispute Resolution Board aims to promote and provide learning opportunites to experience the various alternative means of dispute resolution within the legal system. The Mediation-Arbitration Competition, now in its4th edition, focuses on developing the future members of the Indian legal fraternity and instilling efficient dispute resolution methods. The 4th National Med-Arb Competition is the 4th edition of the flagship event of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, School of Law. The aim is to create a platform for like- minded individuals interested in ADR to indulge in an intellectual and thought - provoking competitive simulation of Mediation and Arbitration.


TEAM COMPOSITION:

  • Each participating team shall consist of three members, where two members shall act as a client and counsel pair  and one member as Mediator/Arbitrator.
  • The role of the members shall not be changed.
  • The Arbitration rounds shall constitute 2 Counsels from each team.
  • All the teams shall participate in both sessions (A Mediation Session followed by an Arbitration Session) in all the rounds.

IMPORTANT DATES:
  • Release of Proposition: 20th November 2023.
  • Last date of Seeking Clarifications: 13th December 2023.
  • Last Date for Written Submission: 26th December 2023
  • Competiton Dates: 19th to 21st January 2024.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out the Participation form Must apply at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in and cc to anwesha.pathak@ddn.upes.ac.in with all necessary details (Including Name, Sap Id, Course & Batch, Year, and Contact Number) latest by 17th december 2023 by 12:00 PM. In case of any query, contact team ADR but kindly do not upload wrong informaion; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
