IMS UNISON 4TH NATIONAL MEDIATION COMPETITION 2024

 "IMS Unison University is pleased to announce its 4th National Mediation Competition 2024 scheduled to be held from 19th- 20th  January 2024".


IMS Unison University (IUU), a constituent of Unison Education Foundation, was established in 1996 as the Institute of Management Studies.  IMS Unison University, Dehradun is organizing 4th Edition of National Mediation Competition 2024 on 19th January to 20th January 2024. Law Universities / Colleges / Institutes across the country are invited to participate in the competition and to be a part of this most respected and awaited competition in India.The competition is considered as a flagship event of IMS Unison University, Dehradun which will provide a real-life enriching experience of mediation. The mediation plays an important role in the resolving of disputes of litigant.The mediator is a neutral and non-biased,impartial person who tries to solve the disputes in amicable manner so as to avoid the lethargic process and technical procedure comprising of huge cost and expenses of litigation.



ELIGIBILITY:

  • The Competition shall be open for 'bona-fide' students who are pursuing LL.M. Programme or Integrated Five-Year LL.B. Programme or Three-Year LL.B. Programme from any Institute/University in India.Such Institute/University must be recognized by the Bar Council of India.
  • Each Law Institute/ University shall be eligible to send Two Teams.
  • Team should not disclose the identity of their Institution/University in course of proceedings in the mediation rooms; such disclosure shall invite penalties including disqualification


TEAM COMPOSITION:

  • Team shall comprise of only two (2) members, One shall be Mediator and one shall act as a Client.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Last Date For Registration: 1st January 2024
  • Release Of Problem: 16th January 2024
  • Preliminary Rounds: 19th January 2024
  • Semi Final , Final Rounds and Valedictory: 20th January 2024

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out the Participation form Must apply at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in and cc to anwesha.pathak@ddn.upes.ac.in with all necessary details (Including Name, Sap Id, Course & Batch, Year, and Contact Number) latest by 25th December 2023. In case of any query, contact team ADR but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
