 "On behalf of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (ADRC) at Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU), it is both an honor and a source of great excitement to announce the India Rounds of the Louis M. Brown And Forrest S. Mosten International Client Consultation Competition, 2024."


The History of the competition dates back to 1969 when Louis M. Brown  established the first Client Counselling Competition for law students. It gained recognition from the American Bar Association in 1972, and  the International Competition was launched in 1985. In 1993, the International Competition was officially named after Louis M. Brown. The Competition is affiliated with the International Bar Association and collaborates closely with law societies and Bar Associations worldwide. The Louis M. Brown and Forest S. Mosten International Client Consultation Competition is an annual event that brings together winners from National Rounds worldwide. 


DETAILS OF THE COMPETITION:

  • Host Institution: Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU)
  • Dates Of The Competition: 2nd-5th February, 2024
  • Host for the International Rounds: John Paul II Catholic University of Lubin, Poland
  • Dates of The International Rounds: 10th-13th April, 2024
  • Theme: International Humanitarian Law

ELIGIBILITY:
  • Only Students from  Law Colleges/ Universities that are recognized by the BarCouncil Of India  are elegible  to participate.
  • Members of any winning team of the Louis M. Brown  and Forest S. Mosten International Client Consultation Competition are not allowed to re-enter the competition.


TEAM COMPOSITION:
  • Each team shall consist of Two Participants.
  • Only One Team is allowed to represent a University.


IMPORTANT DATES:
  • Last Date of Registration: 15th Jnauary, 2024
  • Last Date for submission of Travel Plan: 25th January, 2024
  • Inauguration Ceremony : 2nd February, 2024
  • Preliminary Rounds: 3rd February, 2024
  • Semi Final and Final Rounds: 4th February, 2024
  • Valedictory and Closing Ceremony: 4th February, 2024

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out the Participation form Must apply at soladr@ddn.upes.acin and cc to anwesha.pathak@ddn.upes.ac.in with all necessary details (Including Name, Sap Id,Course & Batch, Year, and Contact Number) latest by 5th January 2024. In case of any qyery, contact team ADR but kindly do not upload wrong information: the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy found.
