FORMAT:
The competition will be structured as:
The competition is conducted in a hybrid format comprising online elimination rounds followed by offline advanced rounds. It consists of Preliminary Rounds I & II, Octa-Finals, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the Final Round, each centred on different sectors of law such as commercial, maritime, insurance, pharmaceutical, and investment disputes. Each Negotiating Pair appears once as the Requesting Party and once as the Responding Party, while Mediators are evaluated independently. The Preliminary and Octa-Final rounds are score-based eliminations, whereas the Quarter-Finals onwards follow a knockout format, culminating in the Final Round where winners in the Negotiating Pair and Mediator categories are declared.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The competition is open to:
Indian law colleges/universities recognised by the Bar Council of India
International law institutions recognised by their respective regulatory authorities
All participants must be bona fide students enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programme (or equivalent international law programme) at the time of registration.
Each institution may nominate only one team, and cross-institutional registrations are not permitted.
IMPORTANT DATE:
31 January 2026 – Registration Closes
7 February 2026 – Online Preliminary Rounds
8 February 2026 – Online Octa-Final Rounds
20 March 2026 – Reporting of Participants & Expert Session
21 March 2026 – Inaugural Ceremony, Quarter-Finals & Semi-Finals
22 March 2026 – Grand Finals & Valedictory Ceremony

Indian Teams (Online Rounds): ₹1,000 per team
International Teams (Online Rounds): Free of cost
Advanced Rounds (Offline – Indian & International Teams): ₹4,000 per team

Mediator Category
🥇 Best Mediator: ₹70,000 + Trophy + Certificate
🥈 1st Runner-Up Mediator: ₹35,000 + Trophy + Certificate

In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
