The competition will be structured as:

The competition is designed as a domestic arbitration simulation, offering participants a close approximation of real arbitral proceedings. Teams will argue complex commercial disputes before a tribunal, engage with procedural nuances, and apply case-management tools inspired by reputed arbitral institutions. The competition comprises Preliminary Rounds (Rounds 1 & 2) held on the first day, followed by Semi-Finals and the Final Round on the second day. Participants are evaluated on written submissions, oral advocacy, procedural strategy, and arbitral reasoning, with each round contributing to an immersive professional learning experience.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The competition is open to students enrolled in full-time 5-year or 3-year undergraduate law programmes from recognised institutions in India.

  • Eligible students include those studying in:

    • 2nd to 5th year of the 5-year LL.B. programme, and

    • 2nd or 3rd year of the 3-year LL.B. programme.

  • Students pursuing post-graduate diplomas or short-term certificate courses are not eligible.

  • Only one team per institution is permitted.

  • Independent or cross-institutional teams are not allowed.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team must consist of three members: two participants acting as Counsel and one participant acting as the Arbitrator. The team composition and the roles assigned at the time of final registration shall remain unchanged throughout the competition, unless a change is expressly permitted in writing by the Organising Committee. The Arbitrator will play a passive role during the oral rounds and will be required to draft an Arbitral Award after the Preliminary Rounds. No team is permitted to be accompanied by a coach or instructor

  • 31 January 2026 – Last Date for Final Registration

  • 1st Week of February 2026 – Release of Arbitration Proposition

  • 9 February 2026 – Last Date to Submit Travel Plans

  • 12 February 2026 – Last Date to Seek Clarifications

  • 25 February 2026 – Last Date to Submit Soft Copy of Written Submissions

  • 27 February 2026 – Registration & Draw of Lots

  • 28 February 2026 – Inauguration & Preliminary Rounds 1 & 2

  • 1 March 2026 – Semi-Finals, Final & Valedictory Ceremony


Registration Fees

  • For Non-Symbiosis Institution Teams :  INR 9440/-
  • For Symbiosis Institution Teams (exclusive of GST) : INR 8000/-

Awards
  • Best Team: ₹40,000 + Trophy + Internship Opportunity at PSL Advocates & Solicitors

  • Runner-Up Team: ₹25,000 + Trophy + Internship Opportunity at IAMC Hyderabad

  • Best Speaker: ₹10,000 + Trophy

  • Best Arbitral Award: ₹10,000 + Trophy

  • Best Written Submission: ₹10,000 + Trophy

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 29th January 2026.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
