FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition is designed as a simulated international deal-making and negotiation exercise, focusing on complex commercial transactions. Each team participates in Preliminary Rounds, where two teams negotiate against each other as opposing parties. Teams receive General Information to assess positions and interests, followed by Confidential Information released one hour before the negotiation session, indicating the side they represent. The top 8 teams from the Preliminary Rounds advance to the Quarter-Finals, after which the competition proceeds on a single-elimination knockout basis through the advanced rounds, culminating in the final negotiation sessions. The format emphasises strategic thinking, commercial awareness, teamwork, and cross-cultural negotiation skills.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The competition is open to students enrolled in full-time undergraduate or postgraduate law programmes at accredited universities, both in India and abroad. Selection of teams is based on the experience and accomplishments of the participating universities in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team shall consist of two participants, representing:

  • Client

  • Counsel

During the Preliminary Rounds, two teams negotiate against each other, each representing opposing parties in the transaction

IMPORTANT DATE:

  • Late January 2026 – Last Date for Submission of Negotiation Plans

  • 27 February – 1 March 2026 – Training Session & Competition

Registration Fees

  • Domestic Teams: ₹10,500 per team

  • International Teams: USD 150 per team

  • The registration fee includes:

    • Hotel accommodation in Jodhpur

    • Intra-city travel between accommodation and university

    • Breakfast and lunch during competition days

    • Networking and social events

    ❌ Travel to Jodhpur, visa costs, and related expenses are not included and must be borne by participants individually.
