Lex Communique 2026 – Client Counselling Competition
Organised by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society, Thakur Ramnarayan College of Law.

FORMAT:

The competition will be structured as:

The competition simulates a real-world law office consultation and will be conducted in three rounds: the Preliminary Round, Quarter-Final Round, and the Final Round. All registered teams compete in the Preliminary Round, where an office memorandum and client are provided on the spot. The top eight teams advance to the Quarter-Finals, following which the top two teams qualify for the Final Round. Each round consists of a consultation period followed by a post-consultation reflection period, testing participants’ client interaction, legal analysis, and advisory skills under strict time limits.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes, studying in any year, from any recognised University, Law School, College, or Department are eligible to participate in the competition.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

Each team shall consist of two students from the same institution, designated as Counsel 1 and Counsel 2. No substitutions are permitted once the team is registered, and all participants will be assigned a unique team code that must be used throughout the competition.

Registration Fees

  • Registration Fee: ₹2,000 per team

  • Accommodation (optional): ₹2,000 per person

  • The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances.

  • Winners – Cash Prize + Trophy + Certificates

  • Runners-Up – Cash Prize + Trophy + Certificates

  • Best Counsel – Cash Prize + Trophy + Certificates

  • Runner-Up Counsel – Cash Prize + Trophy + Certificates

  • All Participants – Certificates of Participation

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Interested Students before filling out Participation form Must apply by filling ADR APPLICATION FORM latest by 3rd February 2026.  In case of any query, contact team ADR at soladr@ddn.upes.ac.in, but kindly do not upload wrong information; the application shall be rejected outright, if any discrepancy is found.
